By Train

You can reach the municipality of São João da Pesqueira by train, which stops at the Ferradosa station. It is approximately 11 km from Ferradosa to the town of São João da Pesqueira, and you can get there by taxi. If you prefer to end your train journey in Peso da Régua or Pinhão, you can rent a car to travel along the N222 or travel by taxi or bus.

By Boat

The Douro River is a landmark of this region and is also one of the ways to reach/visit the heart of the Douro. The tourist offer is increasingly diverse and there are already many piers in the municipality, namely, Quinta de Ventozelo Pier (Ervedosa do Douro), Quinta do Pessegueiro Pier (Ervedosa do Douro), São Martinho River Park Pier (Nagoselo do Douro) and Ferradosa Pier (Vale de Figueira).

Take the A4, A24 and end at the N222. If the journey starts in Lisbon, the journey time is approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. Take the A1, A23, N102, N226/Lamego/Trancoso on the IP2, follow the N226, N229-1, N229 and end at the N222.

By Bike

The Douro is considered a mountainous region for cyclists, however, there are many adventurers who visit us on bikes. Arriving or cycling through the Douro means being the master of your own time and having time to see and feel the soul of the Douro. In this region you can cycle safely and we challenge the most daring to ride the N222, the route between Peso da Régua and São João da Pesqueira.
